The Spring 2012 Madison Baseball season is finally here.  This year it is MANDATORY that all players registered for baseball must attend player evaluations (hitting/fielding/throwing/running).

Rookie League - Saturday, February 4, 2012. 

I have split all registered players into four groups according to the first letter in your last name.  This will allow us to get everyone through the evaluation process in a timely manner.

8:00AM - Last name beginning with A,B,C,D,E, & F

9:00AM - Last name beginning with G,H,I,J,K, & L

10:00AM - Last name beginning with M,N,O,P,Q, & R

11:00AM - Last name beginning with S,T,U,V,W,X,Y, & Z

Rookie 8

Time:

1:00PM - Last name beginning with A,B,C,D,E, & F

2:00PM - Last name beginning with G,H,I,J,K, & L

What to Bring to Evaluations:

Please bring an approved baseball bat (optional), a fielder’s glove, a batting helmet, and sneakers to the evaluations.

2012 Madison Baseball Spring Registration

Registration is now open. We are continuing to go more towards online registration this year and have done some things to make it easier. Here are some positive changes that have occurred.

• No convenience fee on credit card payments - You just pay the registration fee and that's it.
• No concession duty for parents - This year the concessions will be staffed by paid workers meaning no more concession stand obligation by parents!
• Names and Numbers on uniforms included - In the past, names on the backs of jerseys and number on hats was always an extra expense by parents. This year, names and numbers are included with the fee.

Registration Deadline

Registration deadline for TBall - Major is January 31st. Any registrations after that date are not guaranteed a spot. It will be based on the number of players and teams in each league. A late fee will apply for any registrations after January 31st.

Senior Registration deadline will be April 9th.

Primary Registration

Online registration is the preferred method of registering and is a very secure and easy way to register your child for the upcoming season.

All players and parents of players that played the last 2 seasons are in the system. Search by your last name to prefill your information. If you are not listed, start the registration as a new registrant. You are encouraged to update you and your players information. You will receive a registration confirmation via email as well as a receipt if you pay online. For uniform sizing, you may use last year's uniform as a guide as we will be using the same vendor OR you can drop by Philly's Hot Corner located in the Miller Plaza at 8006 Madison Pike # 3 in Madison. Payments

During the online registration system, you have the option of paying securely online with a credit card (no convenience charge this year) or by check. If you select "pay via check", your child will be put on the waitlist until your check is received via mail, is paid during the in person registration dates, or you decide to pay via credit card later. Once you are paid in full, your child will be registered.

2012 Spring Registration Fees

Includes all league fees, full uniform with name on jersey and number on hat, no concession stand duty, and no credit card fees

2012 MBA Bat Policy 

Big barrel bats:

For 2012 and later, big barrel bats must have the new USSSA mark, be a qualified BBCOR bar or be a wood bat.

Note: Bats used in 12U local league games during the Spring 2012 season are exempt from this rule. This one year exemption is intended to allow last year's 11U parents to get more than one year's usage out of their investment in a big barrel bat.

Small barrel bats:

For 2012, small barrel bats do not require the new USSSA mark.
