Bat Rule Change for 2013 Season

For the leagues Rookie 7 through Major 12 the following bat policy has been adopted by Madison Baseball:

All non-wood bats “MUST” meet 1.15 BPF (Bat Performance Factor) for the life of the bat and “MUST” possess a “clearly identifiable” manufacture’s certification stamp. This will include 2 1/4, 2 5/8, and 2 3/4 barrel bats.  BBCOR bats are legal for use in leagues U7-U12.

2013 Madison Baseball Spring Registration

Registration is now open for Madison Baseball’s Spring 2013 season.

Registration Deadline

The registration deadline for TBall through Major divisions is January 31st. Any late registrationsare not guaranteed a spot on a team. It will be based on the number of players and teams in each league. A $10 late fee will apply for any registrations after the registration deadline.

The registration deadline for the Senior division is April 6th.

Primary Registration

Online registration is the preferred method of registering. It is a secure, easy way to register your child for the upcoming season. There are not convenience fees for online registration with a credit card.

Information on last year’s MBA players is retained in the league management system. Search by your last name to prefill your information. If you are not listed, start the registration as a new registrant. You are encouraged to update you and your player’s information. You will receive a registration confirmation via email as well as a receipt if you pay online.

This year we have provided sizing guidelines to help you ensure that you are selecting the proper uniform sizes for your child. If you need further assistance with uniform size selection you can drop by Philly's Hot Corner located in the Miller Plaza at 8006 Madison Pike # 3 in Madison. Philly's telephone number is (256) 461-0240.

2013 Spring Registration Fees

Registration fees have increased $5 this spring due to the City of Madison requiring background checks of certain league volunteers. MBA is paying for the background checks of its league head coaches and first assistants. As in previous seasons the registration fees go towards administration overhead, equipment (including baseballs), league affiliation fees, team insurance, uniforms (including name on jersey and number on hat), umpires pay, and no concession stand duty. Also included this spring is one free MBA car magnet with each player registration. This car magnet will be distributed with the team uniforms.
