Spring 2026 Baseball

Registration for the Madison Baseball Association (Madison, AL) Spring 2026 season is now open. We will close regular registration on 01/31/2026. Late registration is available until 03/01/2026 or until divisions are full. There is a $25 late fee for each late registration, and late registrations will be added on a first-come first-served basis until each league is full. Once a division is full, further registrations will be placed on a waiting list in order by registration date & time.

To determine what league your child should play in, use their age as of April 30, 2026. Refer to our Age Chart if you have questions on what division your child should play in.

We will offer the following leagues for the Spring Season:

4U - "T-Ball." The entire team fields at once. Batting tee used all the time.
5U - Our "prep league". The entire team fields at once. Batters get 3 pitches from coach then bat from tee. If the batter fouls the last pitch, they continue to bat.
6U - 10 players in the field at a time. Batters get 6 pitches from the coach to put the ball in play. If the batter fouls the last pitch, they continue to bat.
7U - 10 players in the field at a time. Batters get 5 pitches from the coach to put the ball in play. If the batter fouls the last pitch, they continue to bat.
8U - 10 players in the field at a time. Batters get 5 pitches or 3 swinging strikes from the coach to put the ball in play. If the batter fouls the last pitch, they continue to bat.
10U - This league is for 9 and 10-year-old players. Kid Pitch begins in this league. 9 players in the field at a time. No dropped 3rd strike.
12U - This league for 11 and 12-year-old players. This is full baseball!

Players must play in the age group determined by their birthday. MBA does not allow anyone to "play up" unless they are 10 years old wanting to play in 12U.

4U-6U players will have activities every Saturday during the season. 7U-12U players should expect to have games on two Saturdays this season (one in April, one in May). All age groups should also expect activities during the season on weeknight evenings (excluding Wednesdays). We reserve Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons for rain-out make-up games. The younger age groups (4U-6U) should typically expect one weeknight activity each week. The older age groups (7U-12U) should typically expect two weeknight activities each week.

Registration fees for the Spring 2026 Season are as follows:

4U = $110
5U = $130
6U = $130
7U = $175
8U = $175
10U = $195
12U = $195

The registration fees include a full uniform, consisting of jersey, pants, belt (if applicable), socks, and cap. Families will be responsible for ensuring their players have appropriate shoes and gear.

Player Evaluations (6U - 12U) at HITS on February 7, 2026. Times will vary based on ages.
Draft Completed & Teams Formed (6U - 12U) no later than February 14, 2026.
Teams Formed (4U & 5U) Late-February 2026.
Coach Training 4U - 8U, TBD
Coach Training 9U - 12U, TBD
6U - 12U Practices Start Mid-February 2026.
5U Practices Start Late-February.
4U Practices Start Early-March.
Games Start for 6U-12U Late-March.
Games Start for 5U Late-March.
Games Start for 4U Early-April.
Regular Season Ends by 05/22/2026.
